How long will it take for a purchase or sale to appear on my Bitpanda or bank account?

Real-time purchases and sales

Bitpanda processes purchases and sales in real-time. The amount of the cryptocurrency or fiat currency will be credited to your Bitpanda account without delay.

Fast deposits and withdrawals with the Fiat Wallet

In order to buy cryptocurrencies on your Bitpanda account, you must first deposit money onto your Fiat Wallet.

Please bear in mind that when making a deposit or withdrawal, your chosen payment method can affect how long it will take for the money to be available on your Bitpanda Fiat Wallet or bank account. For online payment methods (GIROPAY/EPS, SOFORT, NETELLER, Skrill, Zimpler, Visa, and Mastercard), this usually happens immediately.

Find out what you can do if your deposit or withdrawal has the status "Manual approval".

Payment processing by banks

Bitpanda processes bank transfers twice a day during normal business hours.

Bank transfers (SEPA) usually take around two to three business days to complete.

If you have done everything correctly the amount will be credited to your chosen Fiat Wallet as soon as the payment reaches us. Please check this with your bank statement.

Note: Always include the provided Reference number in the remittance subject of your bank transfer. If you have forgotten to include, or used the wrong Reference number, then send us a PDF of the transfer form and additionally the data as text.

After 3 days

Should more than three working days after your payment have passed, then contact us regarding this matter.

Note: Please keep in mind, that Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays do not count as working days for banks. Furthermore, Austrian public holidays may differ from holidays in other countries. Additionally, not all banks process transfers around the clock, therefore delays may occur regarding transfers depending on the bank in question.

In order to help us speed up the process we ask that you to send us the following:

  • A photo of your bank statement showing the Reference number
  • The IBAN you sent the payment from
  • The amount you sent
  • The date it was sent

Tip: Transfers are always initiated before the next clearing of the banks. The processing status of your withdrawal should change on workdays at the latest just before that.
