What is the difference between light verification and full verification?

To learn more about the difference between light and full verification, please have a look at the information below.

Light verification

Tip: The light verification option is no longer available for new verifications. If you have already been verified using light verification, you can continue as usual without further action needed from your side. However, you may want to consider becoming fully verified to enjoy the full scope of all Bitpanda services.

Light verification allows you to:

  • Trade and swap any digital asset, including Bitpanda Metals
  • Deposit and withdraw fiat via bank transfer

Full verification

With full verification, you will be able to use the full scope of all features provided on Bitpanda, Bitpanda Pro and the entire Bitpanda ecosystem. This option is ideal for European users.

Full verification allows you to:

  • Use all trading features, including Bitpanda Metals, Swap and Savings
  • Deposit and withdraw fiat via bank transfer, credit cards and online payment providers like SOFORT, iDEAL, NETELLER, Skrill, Zimpler and more

Find out if full verification is available in your country and if your identity document is accepted.

Additional information

If at some point you decide that you would want to use the full scope of features that Bitpanda offers, you can still start full verification at a later point, even when already verified through light verification, as long as full verification is available in your country and you have an accepted identity document.
