Reset Your 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication)

You can reset your 2FA by submitting a request. After submission, you'll receive a verification link via email (usually within a few minutes; occasionally, a short delay may occur). Complete the identity check within 3 weeks to ensure your changes are applied.

Warning: Please note that resetting your 2FA will deactivate from your account. We strongly advise you to activate it again as soon as possible.

  • The registered email address of your Bitpanda account.
  • A valid ID (passport, ID paper, driver license...)
  • A functionning device with a microphone & a camera

How will the verification go?

Note: For security reasons, we need to verify your identity to ensure you are the owner of the account and can proceed with a 2FA reset.

Click the link in the email you received to start the Sumsub verification process. During this process, you'll need to:

  • Upload photos of your ID
  • Take a selfie or participate in a short “live check” (e.g., speak displayed digits or follow liveness prompts).

If you're using a webcam, please ensure that the browser access to camera is enabled. For more information about potential errors during verification, check this helpdesk article.

After Verification

→ If your identity is verified successfully, we’ll process with the 2FA reset and send you a confirmation email. 

→ If the check fails or documents are unreadable, Sumsub may allow you to retry; follow the instructions provided by email to resubmit as needed. Our support team can also reach out to you if it needs our insights.
