If the account still exists in our database, we’ll send you a Sumsub identity verification link. After successful verification, we’ll reactivate your account and send a confirmation email.

What you’ll need

  • Account email: Use the same email address that was linked to your original Bitpanda account.
  • Valid government-issued photo ID: Passport or national ID card.
  • Device with camera and microphone: A smartphone is recommended for best results.
  • Good lighting and stable internet: For clear photos and a smooth verification process.
  • If you changed your country of residence: Prepare a recent Proof of Residence (≤ 3 months; JPG/PNG/PDF), if requested.

Submit the reactivation request

  1. Go to the Account Reactivation form.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your former Bitpanda account and fill in the required fields.
  3. Submit the form. If the account is found, you’ll receive a verification link from Sumsub via email.
ℹ️ Note: If you no longer have access to your original email inbox, mention this in the form so we can advise a secure recovery path.

Complete the verification

Open the link from the email to start verification. You’ll be asked to:

  • Upload clear photos of your ID (and Proof of Residence if requested).
  • Take a selfie and/or complete a short liveness check (follow the on-screen prompts).

After verification
