As of January 2026, your tax number (called Codice Fiscale in Italy) is mandatory on your Bitpanda account under the DAC8 regulation in Europe.
This is a 16-digit number assigned to each taxpayer.
How can I find my Tax Identification Number (TIN)?
- If you have Italian citizenship, your Identity Card will show your Codice Fiscale on the back of the document, on the top-left most corner, below your name.
- In case of people entitled to the services of Italian Health System TIN is showed on the
personal Health card/Tax identification number (tessera sanitaria/codice fiscale)

In case of people not entitled to the services of Italian Health System, TIN it is showed on the TIN card.
- TIN may also be found on Electronic Identity Card, on residence permit and on National Service Card.
- If you do not have access to your TIN, you can go to the website governmental site and see if you qualify for an italian TIN.

authority’s support service.
