To transfer your portfolio to Bitpanda, you’ll need a document called a portfolio statement.
You can upload this document through your Bitpanda App.
What happens after you upload your portfolio statement
Once your portfolio statement is uploaded, Bitpanda reviews the document to ensure all required information is available.
If the document is valid, Bitpanda sends a separate transfer request document to you by email.
After the signed transfer request document is submitted to your current broker, the transfer process usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks.
This timeframe depends on the broker’s internal processing and cannot be influenced by Bitpanda.
What is a portfolio statement?
A portfolio statement is an official document that lists all your holdings and investments, along with their respective values. In short, it reflects all the activity on your investment account.
The name of the file can be different depending on your broker. Bitpanda will only be transferring the assets described in your statement: if you make some investments afterwards, we won't be able to transfer these.
Required information
For your portfolio statement to be valid and accepted by Bitpanda, it must meet all of the following requirements:
We can also accept screenshots, snapshots, or Excel files, as long as they are converted into a PDF and include all the information listed above.
Only full units can be transferred
Please note that only full units of stocks, ETFs and ETCs can be transferred to Bitpanda.
For example, if a portfolio includes 10.7 units of a stock, only 10 units can be transferred. The remaining fractional units will stay with the original broker and cannot be transferred to Bitpanda.

FAQs and troubleshooting
If your broker does not provide a portfolio statement, you can still share your portfolio information by taking a screenshot, a snapshot, or exporting it as an Excel or CSV file. Simply convert the file into a PDF format and ensure it includes the following details:
- Name of the broker
- ISIN
- Units of ISIN
Please make sure your file is in PDF format. Our system will reject any other file types. If your document is already a PDF, the issue might be related to formatting or a technical error within the file.
If the problem persists, please contact our Support Team via Live Chat. They can check the issue and help you resubmit your document.
If the upload link provided by Bitpanda is not working, please reach out to our Support Team via Live Chat. They can send you a new upload link or accept your document directly on your behalf.
The validation process for your document can take up to 1 business day. Our team will contact you if additional information is required. Once your document has been successfully verified, you’ll receive a confirmation email.
Only full units of stocks, ETFs and ETCs can be transferred to Bitpanda.
If your portfolio includes fractional units (for example 0.5 or 0.7), these cannot be transferred and will remain with your original broker.
After the signed transfer document is submitted to your current broker, the transfer process usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks.

On Bitpanda, the TAP (Total Asset Performance) in percentage reflects the performance of your assets from the moment they are successfully deposited into your Bitpanda account.
When you transfer stocks or ETFs from another broker, Bitpanda records their value at the time of the transfer. Therefore, the performance percentage shown in the app will not include any gains or losses incurred while the assets were held with your previous broker.
