As of January 2026, your tax number (called TIN for natural person in Hungary) is mandatory on your Bitpanda account under the DAC8 regulation in Europe.
This is a 10-digit number assigned to each taxpayer at birth or at registration. Digit 1 is an 8 as long as you are an individual.
How can I find my Tax Identification Number (TIN)?
TINs for individuals are not reported on official documents of identification but they can be found on the Hungarian TIN card.
