You hold actual shares in your securities account, not derivatives. Your investment represents a direct stake in the asset.
As a shareholder, you are entitled to dividends, stock splits, mergers, and other corporate actions, handled according to issuer and exchange rules.
Orders are executed at the best available market price.
The number of units or the value of your holdings may change due to price movements on the market and/ or corporate actions, such as stock splits. This is standard for real asset ownership.
Trading is subject to a fixed fee of €1 per trade. For users in Austria or Germany, Bitpanda manages tax handling in accordance with local regulations.
Real ownership instead of derivatives
When you trade Real Securities on Bitpanda, you hold actual shares rather than derivative-based products. Your ownership is reflected directly in your securities custody account.
Corporate actions
As a holder of Real Securities, you are entitled to participate in corporate actions in line with market rules and the policies of the issuing company.
This can include events such as participating in shareholder meetings and receiving dividends, stock splits or mergers. These actions are handled according to issuer rules, not by Bitpanda itself.
Trading on regulated markets
All trades in Real Securities are executed on a regulated stock exchange. This ensures transparency, regulatory oversight and market-based price formation.
Trading follows exchange rules, available liquidity and market conditions. As a result, availability and execution can vary depending on what is happening in the market.
Trading hours
- Monday to Friday: 07:30 – 23:00
Trading is not available outside these hours and is not offered 24/7.
New listings

We also take customer feedback and community requests into account. Every new listing follows a strict process to ensure it meets market demands, operational and regulatory requirements before it can be added to our platform.
How orders are executed
When you place an order for a Real Security, it is sent to the market and you will be shown a price that you can accept immediately resulting in the execution of your order.
Prices shown before you confirm an order will change as they have a short validity window. Thus market prices can change quickly and liquidity may vary. This is normal and market-based and does not indicate an error.
Portfolio and position changes
Over time, your portfolio may change due to normal market processes such as corporate actions and price movements in the market.
For example, the number of units you hold or their displayed value may change after a stock split or dividend payment. These changes are part of normal ownership and do not require action from you.
Fees and taxes
Trading Real Securities on Bitpanda is subject to a fixed fee of €1 per trade.
If you are based in Austria or Germany, tax handling for Real Securities is managed by Bitpanda in line with local regulations.
