Bitpanda supports Ethereum’s ERC20 token standard, but keep in mind that only ERC20 tokens officially listed on Bitpanda can be deposited, and only when they have full wallet integration (deposit and withdrawal).
Note: Please make sure to only use the ERC20 method to deposit funds to Bitpanda. Other methods (e.g. BEP2 on Binance Chain, TRX20 on Tron Chain or OMNI) are not supported and will result in the permanent loss of the deposited amount. Additionally, if you send the funds from a smart contract, they will be lost. Furthermore, please make sure to use enough gas to fund the transaction to this wallet address.
Tip: Our status page shows which ERC20 tokens are listed on Bitpanda. Before depositing however, please confirm on Bitpanda if that token currently has a full wallet integration.
Addresses
As with all other cryptocurrencies, whenever you deposit an ERC20 token make sure to only use the deposit address shown in the respective wallet of the token.
Note: Always make sure to use enough gas to fund the transaction to the respective ERC20 wallet address. Please refer to this article for details on “out of gas” transactions.
Archived addresses
Note: Please note that if you send cryptocurrencies to an archived address, the coins will be lost permanently, as cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed or recovered.
Therefore, if you want to deposit ETH or ERC20 tokens after an address has been archived, it is required that you create a new deposit address.
You can do so by following these steps:
- Click on Deposit
- Choose the token you want to deposit
- Click on Create new address
