How can I change my phone number?

Changing your registered phone number is easily done. There are just a few details to take care of. Therefore, please stick to the process outlined below.

Unverified account

The phone number can be changed in a matter of seconds if you are not verified yet.

Verified Account

To change your registered mobile phone number, please send us a picture of the identity document you used for your verification (identity card or passport), next to a handwritten note with the following information:

- "Bitpanda Phone Number Change"
- Your new number
- Today’s date

Note: Please also write your new phone number in the email you are going to send us, to avoid confusion.

Send us the picture using our contact form and enter your registered email address in the appropriate field.

Step 1:

Grab a sheet of paper.

Step 2:

Fetch your identity card or passport.

Note: We only accept the identity document that has been used for the verification.

Step 3:

Write down the following information on the sheet of paper.

- "Bitpanda Phone Number Change"
- Your new number
- Today’s date

Step 4:

Take a picture of your identity card or passport next to the handwritten notice.

Note: We need a picture showing legible the handwritten note next to your identity document. Make sure your date of birth and name are readable on your identity document.

Step 5:

To change your registered mobile phone, send us the picture using our contact form and enter your registered email address in the appropriate field.

Avoid common mistakes

Please note that we do not accept Scans. Please don't send a selfie/portrait, since readability in such pictures is not sufficient. Therefore, please only send in the documents as outlined above. Thank you!

Tip: Please note that you need to let us know if another account is already using your new number. We do not accept the same number in two accounts, in this case please explain to us how that happened.
