Note: Unfortunately, cryptocurrency transactions cannot be reversed and we cannot refund them either.
Note: Please make sure that you never send the coins of one cryptocurrency to an address of another cryptocurrency. Otherwise, these coins will irreversibly be lost. Furthermore, please note our minimum withdrawal amounts and transaction costs and used address formats.
Transaction amount too low
Bitcoin and Ethereum (as well as ERC20 tokens) are not designed for small transactions. If the transaction amount is too small, the majority of it may be used to compensate for the network fees.
Before making a transaction, please have a look at the different minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts for each cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals
Note: Please only use valid BTC addresses to withdraw from Bitpanda. Using any other address (i.e. BCH) will result in you losing all of your withdrawn assets.
A withdrawal of Bitcoin might take longer than the confirmation of other cryptocurrency transactions. This circumstance is caused by the environment of the network. If you have received the transaction ID (hash) of the Bitcoin transaction, you can check the status in the Blockchain Explorer.
If the status of the transaction is “Unconfirmed Transaction” in the Blockchain Explorer, you have to wait for the first confirmation from the network. Unfortunately, there is nothing else that can currently be done from your side. The waiting time can take up to an hour or more depending on the workload of the Bitcoin network and on the time it takes for the next block to be found.
Ethereum (ETH) withdrawals
Before sending Ethereum from your Bitpanda wallet, you will receive and need to accept the following notice:
“I am not investing in an ICO. I understand that Bitpanda will not be able to credit any issued tokens to my ETH wallet.”
Should you send ETH and receive the error message “out of gas” for your transaction in the Blockchain Explorer, please contact us.
ERC20 token withdrawals
Please do not withdraw tokens that are not officially supported by your preferred external wallet. If you do, these tokens will be lost and may not be refundable by the provider of the external wallet depending on their policy for handling ERC20 tokens.
Take a look at what you need to consider when depositing specific ERC20 tokens to your Bitpanda wallet.
Note: Please note that Dogecoin (DOGE) addresses starting with "9" are multi-signature addresses which are not supported for withdrawals. Therefore, any withdrawals made to DOGE multi-signature addresses will be cancelled and the amount will be refunded.
Dash (DASH) withdrawals
We only allow normal Dash transactions as a withdrawal. The options “PrivateSend” and “InstantSend” are not supported by us.
Ripple (XRP) withdrawals
If you need a destination tag when sending Ripple, do not forget to include it, otherwise, the recipient cannot assign the transaction.
If you cannot withdraw, please check if the address is activated. For Ripple addresses to be activated, you need to deposit at least 20 XRP. In the aftermath of a Ripple transaction, the address balance also cannot fall below that threshold, which you should be aware of before making a withdrawal to an external wallet. Please note that these rules are determined by the Ripple network itself and that Bitpanda has no influence over them.
Take a look at what you need to consider when depositing Ripple (XRP) to your Bitpanda wallet.
Stellar (XLM) withdrawals
If you need a memo when sending Stellar, do not forget to include it, otherwise, the recipient cannot assign the transaction.
For Stellar withdrawals, you can choose whether you want to use Memo ID or Memo Text. In case of a transfer to other services (i.e. exchanges), please check which Memo type is required by the recipient and add it to your transaction.
Take a look at what you need to consider when depositing Stellar (XLM) to your Bitpanda wallet
NEM (XEM) withdrawals
