My IBAN for bank transfers changed - FAQ

Bitpanda is continuously adding ways to make your deposits and withdrawals smoother. If the IBAN assigned to your account has been changed, here’s what you need to know.

How can I make a transfer to the new IBAN?

  1. Click Deposit
  2. Select Cash
  3. Enter an amount
  4. Select Bank transfer as the payment method
  5. Continue to the next step. You will see the deposit instructions

Note: Please only use the bank details provided by Bitpanda, and don’t forget to add the payment reference!

How can I be sure that the funds will arrive safely?

Make sure to enter the payment reference you see in the app, alongside the other payment details. Your funds will always be safe.

Will my payment reference change?

Your payment reference is always the same regardless of the IBAN you send the funds to.

I received an email that the funds I sent to Deutsche Bank were reversed. What now?

You have been assigned a new IBAN. Check this new IBAN in your app by going to the deposit screens.

Some of our partner banks allow us only to facilitate transfers to customers who haven’t deposited or withdrawn cryptocurrencies. This is why we may assign you a different account number.  The new IBAN is completely safe and used daily by thousands of fellow Bitpanda customers.

I live in Germany but I don’t see a German IBAN to make transfers. Why?

Some of our partner banks allow us only to facilitate transfers to customers who haven’t deposited or withdrawn cryptocurrencies. This is why we may assign you a different account number. Our team is working hard with our partner banks to update the restrictions and make the German IBAN available to everyone.

How long do transfers take?

Bank transfers can take up to 3 business days.

We also support SEPA Instant. Most transfers should arrive within minutes if your bank also supports SEPA Instant.

By following these instructions and ensuring you use the correct IBAN and payment reference, you can make seamless and secure transfers without any issues.
