Should I Withdraw or Send?

We recommend you use the Withdrawal option for withdrawals to your personal account as it's usually faster.

What does manual approval mean?

In rare cases, we need to manually check a withdrawal for safety reasons. In such a case you should have already received an email on what to do. But you can also have a look at this article to learn more.

Troubleshooting

  • If you recently deposited cash, you have to wait 1 to 2 business days before you can withdraw these funds again. This is because Bitpanda already makes your deposits available to you for trading, but banks can take a bit longer to complete the actual transaction.
  • When you try to withdraw to your bank account, you can receive the error message “Account details don’t match”. This is often related to a name mismatch between your Bitpanda profile and your bank records. You can find a recap of all possibilities and how to correct them below:
Reason for Error Explanation & Solution
Bank name is not provided to Bitpanda Please contact your bank directly. This information must be provided by the banking institution; Bitpanda cannot resolve this on your behalf.
Bank name doesn’t fully match The name comparison is case and symbol-sensitive. Accents, apostrophes, or dashes in your name can cause a mismatch. Ensure the names match exactly.
Middle name mismatch Middle or additional names (4th name+) can create issues. You should have the same name in your Bank Account than Bitpanda. Bitpanda Pay can be an alternative if it is available for you.
Shared/Joint accounts We can whitelist these accounts for you. You will need to share documentation (such as a bank statement) to prove you are a co-owner of the account.
